EBC “EP” KITS are the strongest dirt bike clutches you can buy. The kits include US-Made Dupont Kevlar® fiber friction plates and high-durability steel intermediate plates to prevent early wear and distortion. There is 1 extra steel and 1 extra friction plate in every set. With Alloy drive fingers these plates won’t “dog” your clutch basket, plus with 10% more friction area you get better drive and the high heat resistance of Kevlar® facings. Destressed drive plates reduce chance of fracture in the toughest conditions.
STANDARD CK SERIES
Cork based replacement clutch exactly the same as used on the street series CK clutch plates. A general all purpose replacement unit
RACE EP KEVLAR® SERIES
A complete kit with Kevlar® lined friction plates, steel separator plates and heavy-duty clutch springs. The EP kit is a heavy-duty high temperature resistant clutch, suitable for sport/race use and Moto-X . Since 1998 some models (denoted by ‘S’ suffix after part number) have been upgraded to have lined plates using a steel carrier body which should be located closest to the inboard or engine side of the clutch and compensate for over-load fractures which happen when the clutch basket wears or “spreads”
UPGRADE DRC KEVLAR® SERIES
EBC’s number 1 selling product for motocross sport use, the DRC full kit includes heavy-duty aluminum impregnated cork based plates, 10% upgrade clutch springs and steel intermediate driven plates. The steel intermediate plates outlast stock alloy units and prevent muddying of the oil, maintaining stack height longer and with slightly heavier weight give an improved fly wheel effect on smaller engines.The CK series plates within the DRC set include the new “wide ear” construction lined plates which prevent “dogging” of the clutch basket
CSK SPRING KITS
Always fit new springs which get tired after miles of heat and use. EBC spring kits are 10% stiffer than standard and are sold in engine sets. As stated in general fitting/safety instructions, advise customers that lever will feel slightly heavier when uprating springs, and to test ride to acquaint themselves with the change in control
