Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is an electronic system to monitor tubeless tire inflation pressure and temperature. This system receives real-time data from sensors into special valves to be fitted instead of the tire valves and delivers information to the rider in case of problems. Therefore, the rider can read tire information on system display and be informed about possible problems without delay. This system works wireless on batteries and therefore requires no electrical connections. Computer batteries should be replaced after one year, whereas sensor should be replaced after three years. Light and compact, the computer should be installed either on the handlebar or close to the instrument panel. It is extremely useful and increases riding safety, tire performances and bike setup, and reduces fuel consumption.
